Game description

In addition to being the center of an Empire, ancient Rome was also the entertainment capitol of the western world. Where else could you see chariot races, gladiatorial competitions, large-scale battle re-enactments, or mix and mingle at Caesar’s villa? If only you could get tickets…

Ah, but you can. You see, Rome wasn’t only known for inventing the aqueduct. They also invented ticket scalping. And in the vast Empire’s capitol, scalping was a thriving business…

In game, originally titled “Scalpus Maximus” (which doesn’t translate well into German), players are competing ticket scalpers for Rome’s hottest entertainment venues. Send the first scalpers to the box office at the Forum to buy the best seats. Then be the first to the venues to sell to the richest patrons. Attend Caesar’s elaborate parties at his country villa and gain favors that will give you advantages over your opponents. Make the largest profit by the end of the game and claim the title “Scalpus Maximus!”
